Magdalena's love for music started at the age of 8 where she picked up her first violin. For 6 years she trained with the Violin and then when she was 14 years old she pursued to master the Viola. She attended the School For Musically Gifted Children in Cuprija, Serbia which is recognized as one of the top music schools in the world. During her time at Cuprija she was classically trained to play the Viola in both solo and orchestral performances. Including in her training is her involvement with ‘El Sistema’ Serbia, first as a student and then as a tutor.
Her passion for music extended outside the classroom walls as she participated in various musical competitions. Her accolades include a Second Place Winner as a Soloist in the 2015 International Music Competition, a two time Laureate in the Republic Competition in Belgrade with orchestra and a First Place Winner with her Quartet in the 2014 Republic Competition of Serbia.
She has played with various prominent musicians such as Bruno Campo, Konrad von Abel, Dejan Dacic the conductor of Linz Opera in Austria and Marius Hristescu the conductor of Chamber Craiova Orchestra in Romania.
She continued to pursue her dreams in music even after her move to Canada. She is currently a community Viola player for the University of Manitoba Orchestral Symphony. Her future plans is to join the faculty of Music in U of M and hopes to become a teacher in the interest of sharing her love of music.
